Morocco is the neighbor of Europe. Only 14 kilometers separate it from Spain by the Straits of Gibraltar. All the means of transport are possible to go to Morocco... even the bicycle!

> By plane
Naturally, the plane is the fastest means to go to Morocco from France. Among the 12 international airports that count Morocco, the principal ones are located in Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech and Tangier. Frequent between France and Morocco is operated by the large regular international airline companies and of charters of which Air France and Royal Air Maroc (Atlas Blue). Let us note that these connections do not relate to only Paris but also Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseilles, Montpellier, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg and Toulouse.

ELastly, certain companies "low-cost" propose flights with the gravitational tariffs towards Morocco Atlas Blue (from Bordeaux, Lyon, Toulouse and Mulhouse).

> By boat, road or car
If the air route is not appropriate to you or if you wish to go to Morocco in the car, the train, the bus... a crossing in because-ferry asserts yourselves.
The most economic solution is then to go to Algeciras to the extreme South of Spain to cross the Straits of Gibraltar in because-ferry. Two destinations are proposed to you: Tangier (2h30 of crossing) or Ceuta (1h30 of crossing).

Note: Certain ferries start from Sète (France) towards Tangier (the voyage lasts 36 hours) and Almeria (Spain) towards Nador or Melilla.

Here the maritime companies which propose a crossing : Comarit, Comanav, Limadet Ferry... More informations on the website of Euromer.

The Moroccan dirham (DH) is divided into 100 centimes. At the winter 2007, 11 DH were worth 1 euro. The dirham cannot be bought in France, because it is interdict to import it and export it. On the other hand, the importation of the foreign currencies is not limited.

Money
It is advised to carry travellers' cheques which could be converted progressively with the needs. The banknotes can also be changed everywhere, but they must be in perfect state. The international credit card are accepted in many establishments. You will be able to withdraw money with the counter of the banks like in the slot-machines of tickets. It however often arrives that the latter broken down are or not restocked.

Clothing
The differences in temperature in winter and in spring can be important between the day and the night. Thus envisage light behaviours, but also one or two pullovers, a hot jacket as well as a rainwear (in spring particularly). Do not forget your bathing suit, even in winter. Closed walking shoes are recommended for the visits and the excursions.

Drugs
Your usual case of help must include/understand in addition an intestinal disinfectant and antidiarrhéique.

Photo
The cost of the films is higher in Morocco and you are likely not to find some everywhere, except to buy them net of tax in the shops of the airport. For the South, choose films of 100 asa because of the intense luminosity; but for the imperial cities, rather take films of 200 asa, because the weather is dark in the lanes of the médinas !

Change
The travellers' cheques could be converted, in the hotels of good category like in a certain number of stores, progressively with the needs. However, compare the courses and are wary of the commissions, sometimes abusive, taken by some. Never change with the black. The banknotes, in perfect state, can also be changed everywhere. The postchèques ones are accepted in all the post offices. The international charts of payment are accepted in many establishments, with the counter of the banks and in the slot-machines. It however often arrives that the latter broken down are or not restocked.
